Principal

Barry Wright

The Principal of WCRG, Barry Wright provides strategic direction and operational oversight for the firm. He has been actively involved in all aspects of commercial real estate (acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, project and facilities management, strategic planning, financing, and valuation) since 2003.

Prior to WCRG, Barry was with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s (NGKF) Capital Group where he was responsible for commercial investment sales and leasing, both nationally and here in the Washington DC region. Within NGKF’s Capital Group he provided numerous services, including lease negotiations, investment sales, market research, financial analysis and strategic planning to private institutions, non-profits and associations, state and local municipalities, and commercial service firms across all asset types (office retail, industrial, and residential). During his tenure with Newmark he was involved in the disposition, acquisition and lease transactions having an aggregate value of over $100 million.

Prior to beginning his career in commercial real estate, Mr. Wright served as a software and management consultant to federal and government agencies such as Federal Department of Insurance Corporation, Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, and US Immigration Customs and Enforcement.

Mr. Wright is a member of the Urban Land Institute, District of Columbia Building and Industry Association, the African American Real Estate Professionals, and the DC Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past participant as a Big Brother and supports the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the National Capitol Area. He has a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Development and his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from The College of William & Mary.
